My doubt is where exactly i should go to download the software(I.e exact path) from service.sap.com?

E.g:IF i want to download CRM software where can i go for CRM 4.0?

Here is the path: http://service.sap.com/ides You can then navigate to->Customers and Partners->Download Area-> (then take your pick...R/3 for example)

Hi,

It is beginning to become quite complicated I think to navigate between all the demo systems.

There is 2 major problems I think, knowing:

- what exactly are the functionalities provided by Sneak Preview (SDN), IDES systems (through Software Catalog), ES Discovery systems (I am sure I am missing some of them)

- what level of partnership is needed (none [for instance for products available in the SDN Download section], SAP Partner for IDES, SAP Global Partner for Software Catalog)

If I have made mistakes, feel free to correct me, that's the whole point of this post.

I think a blog or a Wiki could help hundreds of people !

Best regards,

Guillaume

Hi Guillaume,

There is an excellent blog that covers some of this: <a href="/people/martin.vierling/blog/2005/05/18/integrating-to-sap-solutions--test-system-opportunities-for-independent-software-vendors to SAP Solutions - Test System Opportunities for independent Software Vendors

In addition, I have taken your suggestion and started entry points in the wikis.

Perhaps we could have pages that keep not only listings of the demo systems, but help info about access, capabilities, functionalities.

Take a look at the main wiki page and feel free to start enhancing. I've created an entry called Demo Systems at the bottom of the page. I'll also make this a separate thread for clarity.

Hello,

You can apply for an S userid so that you can download patches and upgrades from the SAP Service Marketplace (http://service.sap.com). Use the link "New Member? Register Here!" located on the lower right corner of the page. If you have an unlicensed copy of IDES that you are using, then you are on your own

navigate to: "Download / Installations & Upgrades / Entry by Application Group"

select: "SAP Application Components / SAP CRM"

There you are.
