Hi,

Were you trying to create a local package or a transportable one.

Which one did you choose under 'Software Component' ?

Every package whatever created by user should be part of some package. So, while creation of package, you have to select the super package name from the input list available while creating package.

If the Software component is choosen as 'LOCAL' while creation of package, then you have to select $TMP as super package. For any other type of software component we need to select super package (Either BASIS or your own package if you are creating sup-package).

Siva.

Hi Shiva,

Thanks for your reply...

But i am clicking on superpackage its showing No value found

What does it mean,

In MI 7.1 AFTER INSTALLATION WE NEED TO IMPORT SOME .SCA FILE THOSE ARE BELONS TO SUPER PACKAGE.

or something else. like any configuration.

I think Software component selected while creating package is HOME. This is the default software component selected while creating package whose name starts with Z*.

I think the system in which you are trying to create the package doesn't allow to transport requests which can be imported to other systems directly. Like D-Q-P system landscape, Q-Systems will not allow you to created transport requests which can be imported to other systems.

So, check the system setup details. What is the status of the system (DEV / Quality).

Dear all,

We have found out the way on how to create the development package in NW 7.1.

First, we need to create a Structure Package as superpackage. Then assign this

structure package name in the superpackage field. If the F4 option is not

working you can directly input the value in the field. We have created a

superpackage "Z_Structure". You may use this, or you can create your own

structure package.
