I cannot copy the standard MT

Former Member

Hello,

I am trying to create a new scenario using the SAP delivered SWC

I have provided Dependencies of the SWC.

I would like to copy the DT,MT,MI from the standard SWC and use it in my local SWC.

It says the objects are inactive where as the objects are active

Am I missing somehting? any blog which explains the usage of dependent objects ?

Next Q: I would like to change the occurence of the standard DT / MT after I copy to my local system without disturbing the type of the standard existing fields. How do I do it?

Thanks,

Venkat.

You don't need to copy anything.

Once you have added the SWCV dependency, you should see the original objects under the "Basis component" entry of you SWCV.

From there, you can either modify them or refer them into your own objects (created under a new namespace in your SWCV).

Best,

Henrique.
