hello Gurus,
we installed the solman EhP1 and when we are configuring, on the screen of Managed system configration in solman_setup, my Managed system doesn't show up.
It seems that SMDAgent can't connect to Solman(local SLD)
How we can add the SMD on the SLD?
Thanks
Hernando
ths SMD agent was reinstalled

Hi Hernando
Logon to your local SLD
http://servername:port/SLD with Admin rights
SLD Administration -> Data Suppliers -> Add SLD
- URL http://server.domain:50000 (of solman)
- User SLDDSUSER (of solman SLD server)
- Password
Save it.
It will show a new sld path in sld data suppliers now and make your managed system to show in the SLD server of the solman.
for the above process, your managed j2ee system i.e. local system must be connected to local SLD, check this for your system
In SAP Visual Administrator, add the SLD Data Supplier under HTTP Settings and trigger the data transfer.
check there that host, port and usr/password maintained for local sld, if not then do and click on trigger data transfer after filling up the details in visual admin
and check this post too

Hi Hernando
On managed system, in VA, go to the server node like server0 -> Services -> SLD Data Supplier -> Tab Runtime -> Tab HTTP Settings
this is to configure local system to local sld, i.e. your managed system must be having some it's own SLD server
there give the details for
host, port (5xx00 in JCxx of your managed system or local sld server) , user (SLDDSUSER or SLDAPIUSER), password
it's just like adding your system in sld bridge
Hi Hernando
did you see above post link,
what kind of connection did you use out of two, http message server or direct P4 ? or other way round by 'registering in central sld' ?
sometimes direct p4 connection doesn't work, we too faced this problem once a while back and then changed it to lookup http message server type (not by re-installing the SMD agent but directly from Solman)
and have you maintained SMSY sld settings ?
hello Bhudev,
when I go to SMD/Diagnostic Setup/Managed System/Introscope Agent

Hi Bhudev,
by the momento we only have one system (solman), in solman_setup --> Assign diagnostics Agent --> Agent Administration form we select Show offline Agents and no agent is displayed in this windows, how we can add the agent in solman to display it in that window?
-
when we go to
u201Chttp://mqasolman:50000/smdu201D and browse to Diagnostics Setup - Managed Systems - Setup Wizard -- we select SMQ (solman) and the following message is displayed
The SMD Agent 'mqasolman' hasn't been found!
status = start SMD agent or assign a free agent in instance details (color grey)
