Hi Members,

We have following scenario:

I've single plant (location). Sales Orders are created on this location.

I get Sales Orders confirmations based on daily Back Order Processing run. For the Sales Orders getting confirmation thru stocks available, I need to plan dispatches to customers thru Full Truck Loads.

Information available:

containers with various capacities for different routes

stock available of different product groups

Customers are not mapped in APO as location (hence TLB cannot be used)

If Container has spare capacity, then another customer on same route should be considered for FTL planning and so on.

Can TPVS in APO and Transportation module in R/3 address this requirement?

Please advise.

Hi Bipin,

Looking at your requirements I understand you are looking at

1) Optimum utilization of vehicles

2) Multi-drop scenario to increase the vehicle utilization

3) May be you want to use container (similar to compartments in SAP)

All this is definitely possible in TP/VS. In fact TP/VS is meant for this. The only issue is you have to map customer in APO for TP/VS to read the orders & plan the shipments. It must be able to determine the start and end location.
