Profession Tax in MP

Dear Experts,

I have customized as follows for Employees in MP :

1) Values of Basic salary slabs are assigned to PTax Amounts.

2) Basic Salary slabs are assigned to Slab Code (MP01)

3) MP01 is assigned to Region 12 (Madhya Pradesh)

4) PTax grouping 5 is assigned to Region 12.

5) PA & PSA in Madhya Pradesh are assigned to PTax grouping 5.

Still values of actual PTax are very low as Rs 17.33/- only when actually PTax for Rs 10000/- basic is Rs. 83/-

May I know what is missing?

Is there any special setting in 40PTX feture?

Check the Slab rates and their Groupings once

The slab code maintained are as follows :

Slab Cd Seq Range End

MP01 1 9,999.99 INR

MP01 2 12,499.99 83.00 INR

MP01 3 14,999.99 125.00 INR

MP01 4 9,999,999.99 208.00 INR

CC for the Wage type for PTAX in V_512w_D once

There is no tick in any Cum Class in /3p1. PTax for all other states like Maharashtra is calculated properly. Problem is only with MP

if 12000 above is getting 83 how come wrong slab

Check the Grouping of ur PSA and PA

Dear Sikinder,

For Basic of Rs 10,000/-, System is expected to calculate PTax of Rs 83/- & not 17.33/-

Rest all settings suggested by you are proper.
