Prodcut / Contract / info records relpication from SRM/ERP to SAP SRM MDM

Hi All,

Could anyone please let me know, what is the basic advantage of replication.

- If we replicate , then it means we don't need to map prodcut group in SRM MDM Catlog,SAP SRM and ERP.

-is there any best practices on replication?

Thanks in advace.

Hi SK,

the replication can be done in the TA MDMGX from SRM or ERP.

Usually you should have in the catalog the same Product Group as in SRM or ERP to avoid error by item transfer. This parameter is a must in SRM.

The other way would be to determine the Product group by receiving the OCI data in the SRM via BADI BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER.

I hope this helps.

Hi Tamas,

Thanks for your response.

So, if i understood your correctly we should make sure that Prodcut Group in SRM MDM/SRM/ERP should be in sync for Item transfer from Catalog to SRM SC.

And one more small Query: when we transfer Info Record from ERP to SRM MDM , does data transfers to SRM MDM in form of Purchasing Information Table automatically or I need to create a lookup table for the same, then MAP it.

Awaiting for your information.

Hi SK,

yes, the Product Groups should be in sync in all these systems.

If you upload the Info Records from ERP, then there is a standard mapping delivered for the Import Server.

This mapping MDMInfoRecordDataTransmissionERP.xml has all the needed field mapping, you don't have to create any additional table or field.

Tamá
