record/group suppression

I have a report in which the Detail section is suppressed and data is shown in the group footer section.

Records that are coming to the Group Footer section are different types - H (for header), R (for regular), and T (for total). When all amount columns for R records are zero I need to suppress not only the R records but also H and T records accordingly. I added the following statement in the Group Selection Formula: type=R and amount1 <>0 or amount2<>0 or amount3<>0... For some reason all H (header) records get suppressed with this statement.

Please let me know if you understand the question and if you know a solution.

Thank you very much!

Tanya,

Use the recent updated formula on the suppress for the type R that is regular types, if you write the formula into group selection then it will suppress/will not show anything in that group.

Say you have a field in R, right click on the field -> Format Field -> Common Tab -> Select Suppress and right the formula using X-2 button besides suppress checkbox.

Hope this helps.

Thanks
