Production Access in iPPE

Hi Experts,

I am facing some issues with iPPE Production Access.

Can some one give some idea on how PRD access works and whats its use?

I am facing one error which says "Access (4A14430901C45EDCE1000000033B2A05) already exists with other ID (4A13E4F7E37E14C4E1000000033B2A05)" when i try to create PRD access for a variant.

What is the message no?

As per your error message Access ID is already created.

You can only select new access uses during simulative accesses (tab page "Accesses", Transaction PPE). When you access with a production version, the use is always "PRD".

Only create new uses that start with "Z" or "Y", because the Customizing table in later releases has separate namespaces.

Thanks for a quick reply.

I was trying to assign PRD access with a BAPI and it was working fine with other variants. Not sure why it was throwing an error only with a particular variant. So i thought it was because the Material(Variant Material) that i was using to assign Production access was already assigned somewhere else(other variant) with Production Access. But that was not the case and when i tried to assigning the PRD access manually thru' Access Tab, it allowed to assign Production Access.

We are only using PRD access and not using any other custom access for now.

After deleting the Node, and re-creating with program it seems to works fine.

'll inform you agian if i face this issue with any other Variants.
