Hi Group,
Someone once told me of a program that can be run in SAP to allocate a user to a WP so that tracing can be performed. Does anyone know what that ABAP is? I've a report that's acting up, and need to know if it's application or i6 that's the problem.
Thanks,
Dan
Hi Daniel,
even though your question is quite old it seems to be unanswered.
Try this:
u2022 Start the report RSTRC000 in SE38
u2022 Mark "Keep Work process" with "X"
u2022 Select "Save"
u2022 Confirm "Work process <nn> locked"
u2022 Evoke the transaction that you would like to trace in the same mode
u2022 When done the work process needs to be released in the same mode:
u2022 Start the report RSTRC000 in SE38, remove the "X", select "Change" and verify that there are no more work processes in u2018LOCKu2019 status. (SM50)
Hope this helps
Best regards
Fredi

Hi Dan,
Are you sure it's a report you're thinking of? It sounds like you want transaction ST12, which allows you to trace at the user level, among other things, for both ABAP and performance traces. If you want to lock a work-process specifically, then maybe what you need is report RSTRC000, but that assigns a WP to a specific session, other sessions for the same user are unaffected and will run elsewhere.
All the best,
