Error when trying to open new query from Bex

Hi guys,

I m trying to open query designer from Bex explorer and i get the following error: The macro 'sapbex.xla!reponewquery'cannot be found.

Can anyone please tell me how to rectify this? thanks in advance

Hi,

Best thing is to reinstall your BEx components. Please make sure that you install all the components of BEx. Also reinstall the GUI.

Sunil,

Go to Business explorer>Analyzer>Business Explorer-->Installation check and click on Start button.

You will be able to know if its properly installed or not.

Also check note 197460;938540

When i click on business explorer only the excel spreadsheet opens, no BW tools appear.

Seems like your GUI has not been installed properly and missing files. go to the find files in your computer and look if you have sapbex.xla file; I would recomend to reinstall the whole GUI again.

I did the search and i found the sapbex.xla file, do you still think i need to reinstall the GUI?
