Not able to delete item in local contract

Hello SRM experts,

Can anybody tell my why the trashcan for items in a local contract (in the action area) is grayed out? So Iu2019m not able to delete an item in a contract.

There are no call-offs made on the item yet, but still not possible to delete.

Or is it maybe an authorization issue?

And how is it related to the status you can set in a contract (active, inactive etc.)

Hi,

It is not possible to delete items once the contract is released and distributed. Release and Distribution are the final stage of contract process. Any changes are to be made prior to release of the contract.

As such, re-distribution of the same contract is not possible as this is the way system is designed.

In case you need to delete the items of the contract and redistribute it, then the only feasible solution is :

> copy the contract, make necessary changes (additions/deletions) and release the new

contract.

This is standard system design, I hope this explains this issue for you.
