Disp + Work.exe stoped

Dear expert,

When startup our IDES server, we facing a trouble in instance startup process, where a instance component called disp+work.exe can't up. first, yellow light with status description "Run but message server unreachable, J2EE status info unavailable". and than, grey instead yellow light with status description "Stoped".

what should we do ?

So first of all check the log files start with dev_w* under \usr\sap\SID\......\work directory and post here then we could help you, as i can guess from your message that there is some communication error as message server is not reachable so make sure that your network is OK and provide the error log

Is showing that error occurs with OPS$ mechanism. Correct the same using 400241 note.

i've done to check all component related (nework, services and kernel) and i think everything is OK, but its not enough to make system up again. or i missed to check something ?

Hi,

Dev+w0 showing

Ora-27101 - Either Oracle not started or not able to connect .

Try this also

su - ora<sid>

lsnrctl start

Go SQL prompt

SQL>startup

Now your database is in Open status

SQL> connect sapsr3/(password)@<SID>

if your not able to connect it means problem in connect string.give error code.

Check error 1034

<SID>adm$ saplicense -show

Dear Ely,

As you are getting J2EE info unavailable, it is due to the Java_home not set in the environment variable.

Set that & also confirm that the Oracle listner service & also other sap & oracle services are started. I'm sure it will definitely work for you.

Check NI (Network).

lsnrctl stop then lsnrctl start

Check dev_w0 log generally this problm comes due to network related issue.

First check the oracle listner service is started and Lan connection if both are ok then you send the logs files dev_w0 and dev_disp .

You try to restart oracle database and also tell me its status.

first check that all drive have suffecient space. then check all log i.e disp_w0.....in work directory
