Hi Yadav
The core benefit of the Document Management System is its far reaching
integration in the SAP System. Documents can be used in different parts of theSAP System.
Different people require a document in different places.
Documents can be managed with SAP DMS that exist in paper format, slides/transparencies, or files. For this, you use an SAP object in the form of a document info record.
You can link a document info record to other SAP objects, such as materials or equipment.
The external documents can also be stored in an SAP secure storage area if necessary anddisplayed directly from the processing stage of the document info record.
You can store originals from the document info records in an optical archive using SAP
ArchiveLink.
The document info record can be linked to other SAP objects (for example, materials) in
order to make drawing information available for a user processing material masters.
You can enter the document info record as an item in a BOM (for example, in a material
BOM or a document BOM).
A workflow can be started if the document info record status is changed.
You can classify the document info record.
You can use Engineering Change Management to change a document info record or use document info record as a document with Engineering Change Management.
You can create authorizations for creating, changing, or displaying objects and
documents by using authorization groups.
