Font references for "Universu201D

Hi ,

We have a requirement for forms in SO & PO . It appears almost all the font references are for "Universu201D font with the point size varying from 8 to 12, depending on the field or label being displayed.

I have searched in SMARTSTYLE as this font is not available there .Do we have any option to make the particular font available.

Hi Shrila,

'Univers' font is not available in the original installation of SAP. So, you have two options here.

1. Get the font installed in SAP.Refer the SAP note 201307. Most probably your client would be able to provide you the font file. Else you may have to procure it.

2. The fonts Arial and Helvetica, are closest to the 'Univers' font. Probably you can use these as alternatives, if you have these and if the client agrees.

Hi,

it is possible that you can use font HELVE from SAP to get the desired result. When you use SAP font HELVE, the actual font used depends on the device type and printer.

There are some fonts, which look very simular: Helvetica, Arial, Univers, Swiss. Most printer languages usually support one (and only one) of these fonts (I think it is a Copyright matter). And this font is used by the SAP system, if you use HELVE in SAP. So if you use HELVE, then SAP uses the following fonts:

- PCL device type(e.g. HPLJ5, HPLJ4000): Univers

- Postscript device type(e.g.POST2): Helvetica

- Prescribe device type: Swiss

- SAPWIN device type: Arial

- PDF conversion: Arial

u can add this font thru t code SE73 if u hv its ttf file
