Hi All

Please make me clear in which types of projects or scenarios exactly do we use Easy cost planning?? A supportive example will be more helpful.

ECP :-

If the project is a new project, at the execution stage of the project, cost shall be maintained at the WBS Element level (Easy Cost Planning) in a CO version u20180u2019 by copying the cost plan which has been carried out at the time of project initiation using unit cost planning functionality (either E1/E2/E3/E4 CO versions). The cost planning shall be carried out at second level WBS Elements (planning elements) and it shall be totalled up to find out the total cost plan (i.e. at the top level WBS Element). The same cost plan shall be copied to other planning versions like 1, 2 & 3 for future reference. The yearly revisions shall be carried out first at the planning version 3 and if necessary other versions2/&3. Upon completion the same shall be transferred to the CO version u20180u2019 using copy functionality.

For the existing projects Cost planning shall be carried out in u20181u2019 CO version at the second level WBS Elements for the complete project using the easy cost-planning tool. The same shall be copied to u20180u2019 version and u20181u2019 shall become a baseline cost plan for the project. The cost heads are same as described earlier. The u20180u2019 version shall provide the total cost plan at any point of time for the complete project. Network costing shall be de-activated. The u20180u2019 version shall be updated on annually. The same cost plan shall be copied to other planning versions 1 & 2 in ECP for future reference. After each project cost-planning change a project version should be created for future reference.

Easy Cost Planning and Execution Services is a simplified form of cost planning that is integrated into the SAP System. It is of particular use when several planners are involved or when your planning is carried out using similar methods.
