SAP RFC SDK 7.1 Unicode - Supported OS

Hi,

Where can I find info about the list of Supported OS for sap rfc sdk.

Specifically, I am looking for info about RfcSdk support for Windows 7 and WIndows 2008 R2.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

please have a look at the rfc library guide:

There you can find on page 2:

RFCSDK is available on all SAP supported platforms.

I am not sure if the mentioned OS are already supported - in order to get that info please have a look at

In PAM, I am not able to find any seperate product for Rfc sdk. Can you please let me know, under which product version does the rfc library comes?

Thanks for your help.

The note 825494 seems to be updated on 27.8.2008.. And it doesnt list Windows server 2008/ Windows 7. Will this note be updated whenever a new platform is supported?

Also, how can i know if there are any plans for support these platforms in the future?

Hi Jeevitha,

as you can read in SAP note 825494, the classic RFC library is replaced by the netweaver rfc library (see note 1025361). Newer operating systems will be supported with the netweaver rfc library only.

Therefore I do not think that there will be an update to note 825494. "Old" OS will be still supported as outlined in the note.
