Library process in MM

Dear All,

Our client want to bring the Library books in MM and Books stocks as on date,what books are issued to the Users and when User return the book and issuing the same book to others etc.

How to Map this in MM?

Hi,

You can go for standard process. First you purchase the book through purchase order and do goods receipt to store and then do goods issue.

Hello!

I think the material type UNBW ( non valuated ) can be used in such cases .

Here at the time of procurement, the cost is loaded on the GL as per the account assignment.(could be cost center , asset no.)

Hence the inventory cost will be zero.

But still the stock will be managed in qty .

The quantity can be issued & returned over & over again , without any value effect , but proper qty effect.

Books are you going to maintain it as masters? Because books can not be consumed, are yo gong to maintain them asassets? or are you going to maintain them as materials? Just check this out.
