HI SAP Experts,

We just installed SAP CRM 7.0 AS ABAP system. Now we need to install JCRM also. We are very confused about JSPM and SAPINST.

To install AS JAVA for CRM 7.0 on existing CRM-APP (SAP CRM ABAP) , do we

need to use SAPINST or JSPM ? IF SAPINST how to connect both system.

As there are two separate Installation guide and no where clearly mention about how to connect both APPLICATION SEREVR (AS ABAP & AS JAVA)

Please guide us for the same.

All,

Thats where we are wrong. Till CRM 2007 ABAP+JAVA systems are there but in CRM both are completely different.

There something like ABAP Application server CRM-APP and java application server JCRM. we cant install both togather.

Otherwise I installed ABAP+JAVA instances so many times, But in CRM 7.0 that is not the case.

To install a Java add-on for you CRM you need SAPINST... JSPM is to apply Support Packages to JAVA. JSPM is basically the equivalent to SPAM in ABAP.

IF SAPINST how to connect both system

Installation will take care of that, read the installation guide and then you need to do post-installation and configuration.

DO you want to insatll the Java Crm for the same host with the same SID if yes you should have used the option for ABAP+JAVA installation.

for th installation we always use sapinst for the installation Master CD.

JSPM is the tool for applying the JAVA patched as ve have SPAM/SAINT in the ABAP side.

When you use JSPM it can upgrade the patches to the final level. You dont to apply the patchesin sequence to reach the final level as in ABAP.

you van find JSPM in /usr/sap/SID/DV*/j2ee/JSPM and then run ./go in unix to run JSPM.

Please get back if you need more information.
