Hi,
i would like to know if having a lot of portal alias per system (more than 50 per system) impacts in the performance of the portal and also if there is any limitation in the quantity of alias that can be defined per system.
Best regards,
Marco.
Hi,
the thing is that we have a lot o Visual Composer developments, as sometimes we need to point from DEV (java) to DEV(abap) and other times from DEV(java) to QA(R/3), we must have an alias per project, so developers can change their alias from system to system without affecting other developments.
I know this is not how it is supposed to be, but is the only way we found.
Best regards,
Marco.

Can you use the VC alias handler? See http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/47/7ffaa50708199ae10000000a42189d/frameset.htm for details...
It should allow the developer to point to another system quite easily..
Anwered.
Thank you very much.
best regards,
Marco.

I would not think there would any impact on performance as it should just be a keyed lookup.
Why so many aliases?
