logs visual administrator

Apperently I need the Visual Administrator to see my Logs.

Where can I find this tool? Is it not distributed with NWDS? And if not where can I find it?

Are there any other options to see the logs of my local J2EE server?

Hello Harm,

Visual Administrator gets installed along with the J2EE Server (WAS). (i.e. on the same machine where the WAS is installed.)

You'll find Go.bat file in the following folder structure where your WAS server is installed.

usr\sap\<SYS ID>\jc<instance number>\j2ee\admin

Execute that file to start Visual Administrator.

I know, but I installed Netweaver Development studio.

I'm running on a local J2EE server (WAS). I cannot find the go.bat file anywhere on the file system.

Maybe I should install something else aswell?

Hello Harm,

You don't have to install it seperately. It gets installed automatically when you install the J2EE engine.

Do you find the folder structure (mentioned in my earlier post) in the Server's file system?. I am asking this again because, Visual Administrator is a tool for manipulating the Services provided by J2EE engine.

No, I cannot find this directory anywhere on the filesystem. I also cannot find the go.bat file you talked about.

Any suggestions?
