Requirement not coming for the sub-contracting item for PD-2 item

Dear Sir,

I have created Sub-contracting BOM in which BOM structure is as shown below:

--->Header Item( Procurement type F-30; MRP type PD; dependent requirement is collective)

|----> Child item in above header BOM( PD with dependent requirement individual)

After MRP run, requirement of Header SFG code (F-30 type) is not coming.

Kindly suggest.

Bom is one thing requirement is other.

Your question is not clear. Don't you get requirement for header material (F-30) or for child material?

Requirement for header material is either inputted manually (e.g. in MD61 as an IndReq or VA01 as an SO > based on your planning strategy) or comes from higher level (in form of a DepReq).

Requirement for child material comes from the header material (F-30), if there's a PldOrd (or something similar) at header material level.

Please check the planning situation of your header material level first. Please also check whether your BOM is active, valid (validity date). Hopefully your children part is defined as stock item...

Please execute multi-level MRP run (MD01 / MD02 for header material).

You need to check (maintain) assignment of your plant & special procurement key 30 in OPPQ under special procurement tab.

Dear Raja,

We checked in OPPQ, assignment as suggested by you is maintained. We are in the Make to order scenario. We are getting dependent requirement when we enter this F-30 item in MD04, but though requirement is not coming. Also there is no stock.

Dear Raja,

We want to do sub-contracting for make to order scenario. In our sales order BOM, there is one FERT code. Below Fert we have HALB (F-30 , PD and collective) and below HALB BOM, there is one PD-collective item with procurement type F.

Now issue is that when we run MRP, then planned order for FERT code is coming, but in case of HALB code( F-30) no Purchase requiresistion is coming. Only there is dependent requirement of the FERT code. So kindly suggest why this PR is not coming.

Hi,

I think you have run MRP by MD50.

Run MRP by MD02 with planning mode 3,then in MD04 you will find planed order with depent.req.for your HALB code.

You need to convert this planned order to purchase req.
