Hi Experts,

We have a requirement, The text to be copied from Customer material info record to Quotation or if we create SO, text to be copied directly to SO. But some times if business has Quotation, if we make changes in Quotation text, and when we create SO with reference to Quotation, then the changed Text in QT to be copied from Quotation to SO. Can u give valuable inputs in this regards,

Expecting your early response.

Thanks

Raksha.

Hi Raksha

Goto transaction VOTXNSelect Sales DocumentSelect Acces Sequence for Text IDEnter acces sequence assigned to your text ID-Scroll your screen of text object to right. You will find one Field

Requirement number for texts. Select 1 if it is from document header or 50 if it is from Document item.

Requirement number for texts

Identifies copying requirements that the system checks when it tries to access a particular text type.

You can specify, for example, that the system checks to see if a reference document exists. A sales order may refer to a particular quotation. In this case, the system automatically copies texts from the quotation into the sales order.

Revert for further clarification.

Amit

Hi Raksha,

1. Go to VOTXN select Radio Button "Item" under Sales Document.

2. Select Change to go to Text Procedure.

3. Enter new Seq. no. with ID 0007. Remember to mark the Refer/ Duplicate Check Box.

4. Create a new Access Sequence for your purpose.

5. Go to Access Sequence for Text ID's. Create New Entries as following:

Seq. No. Text Object ID All Languages Requirement

10 VBBP 0007 Tick 50

20 KNMT 0001 Tick Blank

6. Save everything you done.

7. Go to VD51 to create CMIR and create Text for the Customer/ Material.

8. Create Quotation and see Customer Material Text under Item Texts tab for Item. You will see the text maintained in CMIR.

9. Now make some changes in the Text and Save the Quotation.

10. Create Sales Order with reference to Quotation and check Customer Material Text under Item Texts Tab. You will see the changed Text from Quotation into Sales Order.

Hope this will help you for your requirement.

Hi Vijay,

Thanks for good stuff. This solution works if we create SO with ref.to QT. Our requirement is, apart from this, if a SO is created w/o ref. to QT also the text to be copied from CMIR. It means, the SO should get text from two ways. 1. One is from CMIR if created w/o to QT.

2. From QT., if created with ref. to QT.

In this scenario, how to maintain the text type for SO.?

Hi SAP Gurus....Please provide inputs

Thanks

Hi Raksha,

The text from CMIR will definitely come if you create a sales order w/o ref. to a Quotation.

The two entries for object is for that only. If there is a previous doc. the text will be copied from that document otherwise it will be copied from the Customer Material Text.

Please check it once again.

Hi friend,

Text determination procedure is used to get the text copied from the CMIR to the quotation or sales order.

But there are no copy control to maintain inorder to copy the text from one sales docment to another.

If u want the chanages to copy from the quotation to Sales order, u need to use USER EXITS.

Hope it is clear.
