Hi All,

I have installed SAP 4.7 on oracle 9i , I have to use sapdba , But i couldnot find any file in run directory .

Can anybody help me oout in this ,

Secondly if i wnat to use sapdba in ECC5 , what is the process for that

Hi.. Manish,

SAPDBA was the part of old kernel set and now BRTOOLS replaced it, so you can try to execute the 'brtools' from user ora<sid>.

in ecc5, brtools is used. if you want to use sapdba, then you have to activate sapdba there. but in any way, brtools is better

SAPDBAis not delivered any more.

SAPDBA is not maintained any more.

Last time SAPDBA was shiped was with kernel 6.20

Why do you want to use an obsolete tool that will not be improved and patches will not be released?

Hello Manish,

Log in the system using <sid>adm and open the command prompt

type sapdba there

If all the env vairaibles are set,sapdba will start
