failed to start LiveCache using LC10

I see that the LiveCache status is red on LC10.

I clicked "start livecache" but the status is still red even after I

1) clicked two more times later, and

2) log out and then log into the system again.

I believe the connection between APO and LiveCache has problems.

Could you tell how to check?

Thanks!

Hmm... not so sure about that one - if you can reach the operations panel in LC10 at least the dbmserver connections do work. And that are the ones that are needed to startup liveCache.

You can use the DB59 to check the connection - but as long as the liveCache is not online, all SQL connections will of course fail.

So I'd propose you check the log file (Kernel Messages a.k.a. KNLDIAG/KNLMSG) and look out for the reason why the liveCache isn't coming up.

Would you please tell how to check whether the LiveCache connectivity is slow?

Thanks!

Hmm.. either use the /SAPAPO/OM13 transaction -> tab "network" or if that doesn't work

check

"SAP Note 561598 NIPING test for standalone liveCache server"

DB59 shows all 3 connections are green (i.e. green check)

Thanks!

You may want to use the /SAPAPO/OM13 transaction, tab page "NETWORK".

See SAP Note 561598 NIPING test for standalone liveCache server
