Portal roles

I'm currently trying to play around with guided procedures. From the documentation I've read on SDN I need to assign myself certain roles in the portal e.g. GP Business Expert - com.sap.caf.eu.gp.roles.designtime, and GP Administrator - com.sap.caf.eu.gp.roles.administration, etc. I've tried this and cannot access any of these roles. Is this functionality delivered in a business package, if not what else could I be missing? Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks a lot guys. I'm on NW04. I'll need a few days to look into this as I'm busy working other stuff at the moment. I'll let you know how I get on. Thanks for your help.

We are using EP7.0 SP6, I didn't see any role like Business Explorer role. Do I have to install something to get this role. Please Let me know if someone who worked in EP 7.0. I know it is in EP6.o

I am also having a problem finding the "business_explorer_showcase" role in EP7 NW04s. Did anyone find the resolution? Do you need KM installed? Is there a business package?

Hi Richard,

Which GP version are you using? If you are at NW04s it might be that in addition, you need to add the roles for a GP Expert, GP Advanced User, or GP Basic User.

Iam not able to find the 'business_explorer_showcase' role in netweaver7(EP7.0)(i have super admin role).Could any one help me on this.

com.sap.caf.eu.gp.roles.administration GP Administrator

com.sap.caf.eu.gp.roles.designtime GP Business Expert

com.sap.caf.eu.gp.roles.runtime GP User

com.sap.caf.eu.gp.roles.sap_system_user GP SAP System User

com.sap.caf.eu.gp.roles.superuser GP Superuser

com.sap.ip.bi.business_explorer_showcase Business Explorer

for the admin role should work. Not sure if you have attached these roles or not. And pointing to the urls for GP design and runtime specifically to play around as http://localhost:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/caf_eugp_uidt/AppWorkset for GP design time and http://localhost:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/caf_eugp_uirt/WorkCenterRT for the runtime. Or http://localhost:50000/caf for the runtime config. No business packages.
