Adding any type of document to DMS

Hi everyone,

we decided to use DMS for storing files, that are sent to us in e-mail as attachments (among other things). This works, however, there is one problem - if the attachment is of some type known to us (for example JPG), we are able to save it to DMS, however, we do not have a general way to put any file to DMS.

Is there some trick to do this?

The the thought is that the document is then opened and processed via standard windows application associated to the respective extension (as in the example, we just say "Windows, open the JPG file", so what we want is to say "Windows, open this extension").

Hi Petr

You cannot upload and process any document with any extension unless the application entry is made in IMG Define workstation application.

So whenever you receive any new file extension a new entry has to made in IMG Define workstation application
