Support package activities

Hi,

I am applying support package to my system.

I need to know what are the system background activities while applying the support packages.

is there any document which helps me to know the sap system level activities while applying the support packages.

As you said you are applying the Support pack just goto the log option in Spam and you shall find all the phases thet are happeneing during the Import Search for each phase and you shall get plent of data.
