Choose the source of supply based on characteristic automatically

Gurus/Senthil,

I want to choose the source of supply i.e. PDS based on the characteristic value at a FG level. So when i create a order manually/automatically, i want the system to choose the source of supply based on the characteristic that is different in all the components in different PDSs.

I tried using the BADI - /SAPAPO/CURTO_CREATE Method - VARIANT_WITH OWNVALUATION.

This does do the characteristic prop, but does not choose a source of supply.

It still chooses the one that has earlier delivery date.

Thanks for the reply. I am sure this will work. But just from curiosity, isn't this a standard requirement in CDP and shouldn't there be a standard functionality to support this?

Hi Kedar,

You need to use the BAdI /SAPAPO/RRP_SRC_EXIT, method RRP_USEX_SOURCE_FILTER. You can fetch the order configuration calling IV_CONFIGURATION->AS_IBRTT_PROPERTIES method, choose PDS, then delete all entries in CT_SOURCES table but one you choose.
