Is CTS+ different from PI to ECC, etc?

I only configured CTS+ from PI.

I want to configure CTS+ for ECC and other ABAP+JAVA systems.

I think the procedure will be different , e.g. the exchange profile portion perhaps will not exist for

ECC configuration.

Any document there?
