Dear all,

I need to install a reference system R/3 4.6C for a customer.

The available OS is SunOS 5.10 (SPARC).

I want to know whether SAP R/3 4.6C is compatible with SunOS 5.10 (KernelID: Generic_127127-11)

sun4v sparc SUNW,SPARC-Enterprise-T5220.

I have searched through PAM but this info is not available.

Thanks,

Kaushik

Oracle 8.x was never and will never be supported on Solaris 10 (from Oracle and SAP side). Oracle 8.x is LONG out of support.

To use 4.6c on Solaris 10 you can

- upgrade the database to Oracle 10.2.0.4

- install instantclient 10.2.0.4.x

- use the 46D_EX2 kernels
