PDF option no longer working when reading oss notes

Hi

For some reason starting Monday, when viewing an SAP note online and pressing pdf, this option fails stating,

internet explorer cannot download sapnote.htm from websmp230.sap-ag.de

internet explorer was not able to open this site or cannot find.

I have checked internet settings and added this site as trusted, played around with a few adobe pdf settings but nothing works.

I think i had this problem a year ago but cant remember what i did to fix it.

thanks

rom websmp230.sap-ag.de

try another server, like websmp107.sap-ag.de or 108, or any other.

Hope that helps

Hi,

This problem happens because of some authorization issue of S user ID and that too some times.

On the same system, with same Adobe version you try with another S user ID and pwd if you have.

Just try once, you will be able to download the SAP note in PDF format.

Just ran across this issue and fixed it, you need to go into Internet options | advanced tab - Security and uncheck the box that says "Do not save encrypted files to Disk" and viola you have pdf access once again.

Bradley,

Iu2019m using IE and the pdf option works.

Try reinstalling Adobe, clearing cache/cookies on IE, or using another browser (Firefox).

See if any Windows updates got installed.

Or, worst case, restoring your workstation from earlier date.

Hope this helps

no luck with deleting everything but passwords. Must be a setting somewhere that has been changed.

Bradley,

In case you didnu2019t, be sure to close all IE sessions after deleting temp files.

Reinstalling Adobe may be quicker than trying settings.

This looks useful (even if slightly old).

Yikes sounds a bit drastic. I dont want to lose a lot of my settings especially saved passwords etc.

If I get desperate i may try that option.
