SAPNW7.01ABAPTrial - installation failed

Hi Friends,

I am a new user to the forum. I downloaded the application from the link available. Installed as per the guidelines. But installation failed many a times. Please find the issue that appeared in the log file. It would be of great help if any of you can help me with this.

Issue in the log file.

what is Java version ,database ,OS you are using

Please, someone knows the solution to this problem gives me the same error, to complete the installation, I throw an exception in Java is not installed, thank you very much for your attention.!!!

make sure the version of java sdk is compatible with the SAP system you are planning to install.

What version of Java do you have installed?

What SAP Trial\minisap version are you installing?

At which step in the installation process did the installation fail?

Hi,

I had the same problem. Thread probably is out of date but my answer could be helpful for another users.

I describe what I did BEFORE reinstallation of NW ABAP Trial on Vista for n-th time.

Of course follow SAP NW instractions about prerequisites conditions before installation (jdk, loopback adapter and etc...)

1. Unistall services using RegCleanTool

2. Delete all files from destination folders or format disk (I alway install NW on separate partition)

3. Delete folder C:\Windows\Program Files\Common files\Install Shield

3. Check if reporting services for windows are turned on (I forgot name but it should be windows reporting services or sth like that)

4. And something what I read somewhere and when I did it my installation was successful -

turn on avialability of folders or disk and make destination folder of NW avialable for admin.

And after that my installation was at last successful. After n-th trials of installation when I make folders avialable everything

was installed fine.

I re-installed NW ABAP Trial on XP (SP2) for n-th times but I always meet this error.

I followed the same process as you gave to resolve it.

So I would like to know what do you mean "availability of folders or disk and make destination folder of NW avialable for admin".

For me I installed on 2 diffents disks.

For exemple :

On Disk C : Windows XP

On Disk D : I put the folders "SAP" and "sapdb".

And for you, what is your configuration ?

And of course I checked prerequisites conditions before installation.
