Configuring BI on Existing ECC 6.0 System

Hi All,

We have an ECC6.0 system and currently there is a requirement to configure BI, can any one

share the experience of doing it. I think we need to Install the BI_CONT addin and are there any

taks involved after it?

it is technically possible to use BW from within an ECC 6.0 instance. You need to install BI_CONT 704 to use SAP contents.

But, I personally do not recommend this scenarios. SAP and Oracle parameters are usually set differently based on its usage. SAP recommends different parameters for BW and R/3. so, it's better to use these usages in different systems.
