Using a CRM system from the Portal

Hello everyone:

I've using CRM with a certain user/password combination. when I use sap logon, it's ok and it works. Now I try to use a BAPI from outside.

Using web dynpro to obtain the BAPIs' metadata I use the same user/password and it works ok, howeve, when on Portal after setting up the SLD I get wrong user/password combination... would it be a matter of "permissions" on CRM? or should I check other connection settings?

I'm practically sure that all other parameters are ok, such as server, port, etc

Hi,

It may be because of SLD configuration and log on type used in the webdynpro application.

While getting metadata you should have used dedicated appservcer with userid /pwd which uses usermapping.So.try configuring your webdynpro application for usermapping with appserver it should work.

Thenyou can figure it out for other methods of log on.

There is no seting required in CRM side if you are using usermapping.Settings required only for log on ticket.
