I work for a retail client and we use SAP IS-R. In Retail, we use VD51 t-code to create the customer material info record which is to establish a cross reference between the customer's article number to our variant article number in SAP. We use BDC session to create the customer material info records if it is in mass or sometimes we use VD51 to create manually. We want to move from the BDC session to an IDOC process for better error handling but we came to know that there is no standard IDOC message type for CMIR (in short of customer material info record). So, we thought to develop a custom IDOC message type but then we came to know that there is no standard Function module which can be used in the custom IDOC. Our developers say that there is no standard FM for VD51.
Do anyone know if there is a standard FM for VD51? Did any of you come across the same situation?
Any help or ideas around this problem is greatly appreciated
