Hi,
I am new to SAP BASIS. Can any one tell me the steps of local client copy ?
Thanks
Rajeev
Dear Basis4u,
Below are the steps for a local copy. This will copy into a new client or overwrite the existing.
1. Create a client with SCC4 (do all settings )
2. Logon to new client with SAP* and password PASS.
3. Choose Source and Target client.
4. Choose the required profile from list. (For ex. SAP_USER) will copy the users and authorisation data.
5. You can monitor the progress in SCC3 (Client process log)
I think this will help you.
Thanks

Dear Basis4u,
It is easy process......go to tcode SCCL, and you need to choose the profile which is to be transported....and depending on the profile you need to decide whether it should run in dialog mode or background.....for example if you are going for move only users then it can be done in dialog mode....but if you are copying all the data then definitly go for background mode....
In background mode you can even schedule the job at a specified time.
