I am not able to successfully connect to a windows server running our Gentran EDI application. i have exhusted my limited knowledge about the RFC set up. I can ping the systems via host name or IP. From the gentran server i can execute an aleclient and move IDOCS to SAP server (partner profile not maintained error). SM59 test results.

Hi Robert,

I believe you are working for Inbound IDoc, first ask your Technical Consultant to create proper RFC Connection and then define IDoc ports (Transaction code : WE21) and then create Partner profile (Transaction Code : WE20) for your inbound / outbound IDoc to proceed further.

To do all this task you may require help or your Technical Consultant.

Hi..

It would be very helpful if someone can tell me what is needed RFC to work from an ECC server to Gentran server.

I have Gentran running on a legacy server and SAP on stand alone host.

What is needed for ECC to talk to Gentran.

Any help would be great.

Thanks
