Multiple Queries in one Workbook - incl. Button "Information"

Hi,

I'm having problems getting several Queries into one Workbook in BW 7.0.

Method 1

Open Query in BEx Analyzer

Change to the design mode and insert items: Analysis Grid, Navigation Pane, Text

Assign DP_2, i.e. a different query, to each.

Exit design mode

Result

2 Queries in 1 workbook

Style (Color for filter is different). Any change disappears after refresh

Button for inserting "Information", e.g. User, refresh date, etc. only inserts/hides lines for first query.

The button seems to have some complicated VBA code assigned to it. As a none VBA expert I do not know how to copy and adapt the VBA. Perhaps there is a simple solution?

Method 2

Open Query in BEx Analyzer

Tools -> Copy Sheet

Change to disign mode

Assign DP_2 to items.

Exit design mode

Result

The format (color, indention, etc.) for the Filter (Navigation Area) for 2nd query is too short.

The second query contains has two more characteristics than the first query. Therefore the filter is longer.

The formatting seems to have been copied from the first query because the last two characteristics have a different format.

Formatting either with Excel -> Format -> Cells or assigning style/ theme does not survive a refresh.

How can I create a refresh-resistant formatting

I am grateful for your help

Martin

HI Martin,

In design mode click on item and in general tab remove check from apply formatting.

Hi Kams,

the navigation pane item does not have "apply formatting".

There is a check in "display formatting".

I tried that. The navigation pane then looked like the workbook background. I formatted it.

After changing into disign mode and back again the formatting was lost.
