Hi,

as a third option you might use btexx [easyWCM |http://www.btexx.com/]which relies on the XML forms for editing content and is very user-friendly.

Let us know what your approach is.

Did anyone here use easyWCM? I'd like to hear some feedback. Its been a long wait for a good WCM tool from SAP and WPC is not very promising unfortunately.

EasyWCM is a 3rd party tool which we need to buy this product to use it...?

We're looking for something available within Portals...

How do i install them and use it ? Any installation document on this would be helpful..

Hello,

My name is Christian and I am working at btexx. We are u201CSpecial Expertise Partneru201D of SAP for the SAP NetWeaver Portal and cooperate closely with SAP.

Our product btexx easyWCM is a third party software that uses KM and PCD as persistence, but makes editing portal content a breeze. The tinyMCE mentioned by Sandeep is already integrated in our software.

Just have a look on the websites of [www.haniel.com|www.haniel.com] and [www.dkv-euroservice.com|www.dkv-euroservice.com], they were both built up with btexx easyWCM and are 100% SAP NetWeaver Portal.

If you are interested in a demo just sign up at http://www.btexx.com/software/easyWCM/live-demo.php. Documentation is available for customers and partners in our extranet.

Kind Regards

Christian

Addy,

You can go for WPC but there are some limitations of this tool like changing the colors, font etc . To overcome this you would have to integrate the TinyMCE editor.

The XML Form builder can be used to create forms for user input such as news items. The iViews in which these forms are displayed can be used in any WPC web page.

You can anyways check these [WPC FAQs|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/wiki?path=/x/a4odaw] which would help you take a right decision.

XML forms are mostly for getting data from users. WPC is not a bad tool for building nice web pages, but to be honest it is not the most intuitive at the moment. It looks like there are plans to make it nice in the future (see recent blog ) and is probably the best option at the moment.
