How to make mass change to transaction data.

Hi,

I have lacs of transaction for which I need to change base line date, can you please advise me the appropriate method to change the same.

You can go to FBL1N (vendors items) or FBL5N (Cust items), choose your items and then Go to Menu - Environment - Mass change. This way you need not bother about authorization to MASS tcode.

Ask your ABAP Consultant to write a BDC or an Update Program to update the base line date for huge no. of docs.

Please go to SE16N,

Give the table name BSEG

Press Enter

In the transaction code bar enter '&SAP_EDIT' and press enter.

SAP editing function is activated.

now click on execute.

The table will open in EDIT mode. But, please make sure that you are editing correctly.

Note:

This is not the recommended procedure to do. Therefore, please do not attempt to do in production.

Any wrong doing will have negative consequence.

I think you may need to use a BDC session for updating the fields using SHD0.

Please try Tcode MASS and see whether you can meet your purpose.
