Making entry in HOSTS file

Hi All,

When ever we are running any web dynpro application for the first time we are supposed to make an entry in the host file of our system.

My question is 'Is it necessary to make such entry always in host file?'

'How does an application runs when it is published for internet?'

If not what is the way to avaoid it?

Hi Prakash

Chech if the host name entry in maintained on DNS server. DNS server is responsible to resolve your host-name to IP setting.
