Dear all,
We have noted that there is a depreciation amount which has not been posted to the respective GL A/Cs. Thus, leaving a difference between asset balances and ledger accounts.
Can anyone suggest how to post it to the GL now without impacting asset side again?
Also, what might have caused this situation?
Thanks for your help.

Hi
check your G/L account configuration for Depreciation in the AO90 transaction for the respective account determination in your chart of dep / chart of accounts.
e.g. Acu.dep a/c for ordinary deprecation , Expense a/c for ord depreciation etc.
If it is not configured properly to the respective G/L account, system will not post depreciation to that a/c
This could be the reason for the deprecation amount not posted to the respectiv G/L a/c.
You can configure here the correct account determinaton for the asset to be posted, with "Repeat" option in AFAB depreciation posting and try...
Thanks & Regards

Use the transaction ABF1. How it works you can found on this forum (search on ABF1) or have a look to SAP note 69225
