Smartforms - Horizontal Lines are not printed in DOT Matrix Printer

Hi,

We are using DOT Matrix Printer to take PO output, we have created the layout in SMARTFORMS and print preview is perfectly fine, once we take printout, except Horizontal Lines everything is printed correctly, kindly suggest me a way to resolve this issue.

Actually my problem is when i take printout in dot matrix the horizontal lines are not comming, when i see print preview the lines are visible.

There are 2 easy ways.

Either have a FRAMED window with very small height.

or u can just use Underscores in a text element. "____________"

Uline uses dashes "-------"

thus the broken line.

Hi,

It may be becuase of the printer settings .

Use underline <u> tag for getting horizontal lines for time being.But its not a good practice.Its better to use frames to print tables/templates.

Two things which could help.

Take care the line is not to thin

Take care box/frames are not overlapping

try it to that printer with LOCL and with the SAP driver

If that does not help. then u should use underline

Hi,

This may be the problem of the following Note:

77976 - Information on the SAPscript BOX command

If you print via SAPWIN, the boxes are not transparent. So the boxes may overlap previously printed boxes thus hiding the horizontal lines. In the form, please ensure the BOX command for the largest box is first, then the next largest and so on until the smallest window.
