Zebra printers and Smartforms

Hi,

I have worked a lot with Zebra printers in combination with SAP-scripts.

Now i have to do something with the combination of Zebra with Smartforms.

I have to print some fields and a barcode on a label.

I read something about that i do not have to use any ZPL2 commands for this kind of standard

labels. Is this true or do i still always have to use some ZPL2 commands.

Thanx.

Gr., Frank

Hi Frank

I have worked with Zebra labels for the smartforms and PDF forms.

No nececessary to use ZPL for smartform and PDF Forms. SAP has built in support.

Please check the following link where your questions were answered.

Hi Bernsen ,

Check these two SAP notes

SAP Note 750772 - Information about the ZPL-II printer driver for Smart Forms

SAP Note 750002 - Smart Forms: Support for Zebra label printer (ZPL2)

Hi Rajvansh,

Your 2 sapnotes fullfills almost everything i want to know.

There are 2 points left

.

1. If i want to rotate a barcode: can that be done with regular smartform statements or do i have to use for that an ZPL2 statement like BCR,190,Y,N,NFD&GV_STRING(C)&^FS.

2. Smartforms can work with LOGO's. But load it everytime to residentmemory on the printer and after printing it is removed. That is not good for the performance.

On which way is it possible to load it once to resident memory of the printer

and print from printermemory with a command like

fo530,1280frxge:logo5,1,1fs
