Hi Experts,
I want to know the details of SAP Transaction Tax Engine how it is related with SRM and is it Mandatory to have TTE for Tax or Only IPC will work? I read "It is an integral part of the Internet and Pricing Configurator (IPC) and delivered as part of the IPC".
Please clarify me.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Anil

Hi
TTE is part of IPC. If you want to use TTE for taxing you need to configure in SRM.
SPRO-SRM-SRM server-Cross Apps basic settings-Tax Transaction Engine - for TTE config
Else, we can have Vertex or Taxware or even ECC/R3 to have taxing carried out.
SPRO-SRM-SRM server-Cross Apps basic settings-Tax Calculation-Determine system for tax calcs.

Hi
If you want to use TTE for taxing, then it has to be configured...
Basic config is, defining RFC destination to TTE & defining it as a tax system in the define backend systems in SRM.
For classic, IPC is not required, thus we may getaway with TTE & for ECS being IPC mandatory, we can have TTE as tax system for invoicing not just only of SUS invoice..
