Report "upc_bundle_execute_step"

Dear Experts:

I´ve tried to use the report "upc_bundle_execute_step" but I can't make it work. I've executed it but it doesn't copy anything. Does anyone know how this report works? How should I fill the fields in this report? Any example?

I've created an exit function that calls this report. And then I've add it to a button in a layout. The thing is, that after executing this function, I can´t go back to the layout. It goes back to the start screen of SAP.

I need to return to the layout after the copy.

Any clues?

Hello Pablo,

The report "upc_bundle_execute_steps" cuts the selection into smaller components, executes the planning function, saves it and releases the buffer via the API (...REFRESH). Now the refresh function module refreshes all BPS objects and thus it should only be used in batch jobs or web interfaces. So if you want to use the report the same restrictions apply. Please have a look at note 546464.

Hi,

The purpose of this report is to partition and execute the functions for the partitioned value. The easiest way to test is create a level and mark the chanracteristic that you want to partition on for selection in package. Now create a GPS. Please put in the 0-ADHOC for selection in the package field in GPS.

Come back to the program and execute it on the selection screen enter the GPS number and in the characteristic field the characteristic that you marked in the level. Now enter the from and to value for the characteristic for which you want this GPS to run.

What the program will do is it will change the adhoc package in background and run the GPS for the characteristic values within the specifed range one by one.

EG suppose the split is on material then enter 0MATERIAL on the selection screen and in the values enter 1-5. This will execute the GPS for value 1,2,3,4 and .
