Hai,
I have a doubt in BOR. In that we can define attribues.
When we are calling the BOR method from the workflow we are writting all the code inside the methods only. Then why need the attributes? Is it have any other work?
Please suggest me?

Hi,
Precisely to avoid coding to retrieve the characteristics of BOR object, we use attributes.
The master data which is associated with Object will be readily available if we have used the attributes, otherwise we will have to hit the database to retrieve it in the method. It may increase the database utilization and therby decrease the performance.
Hope it makes sense.

Shashank

Maran,
Methods in business objects encapsulate the needed logic.
In simple terms, if any business data is needed in WF Binding or WI Text it has to be defined as an attribute of an object.
Cheers.

Hi,
If you want to pass a particular attribute for example Document Type (in Sales Order)... all you need to use the attribute provided by the BOR Object. For example if you want the Subject of the mail to be
" User <SY-UCOMM> created a material <MATNR> of type <MTART> on <SY-DATUM>'.
Here <MATNR> and <MTART> can be obtained from the attributes.
