Problems connecting to APO box from XI 3.0

Hi

We are trying to establish a http connection ( type H ) from our XI 3.0 ( SP23 ) box to our APO ( SCM 4.0 ) box . We defined the rfc destination with all details, but we are getting a icm_http_connection_failed ( without any error code ) We checked that the http service is up and running on the APO box at port 8000 and also the adapter_plain and the engine services are active on the transaction sicf in the apo box.

We still cannot get XI to connect to our APO box with the type H connection. Please let us know if anything is missing on the APO box that is causing this issue.

PS : In our APO box , under SICF transaction , under SAP/XI we notice that only these four services are seen

Could this be the issue causing the connectivity to fail ?

We don't see the cache and cache_ssl services on the tree. Could this be the reason for the failing http connectivity ?
