using WDA,
I have created 2 drop down lists - 1 for plant and 1 for project type.
I used Web Dynpro Native Enumerated Drop Down lists for both of them.
I can click each of them and see all my values.
On my Plant drop down, I can select any value & it will populate that value in the field.
On my Project Type drop down, I can select any value & it quickly places it in the field then erases it immediately.
any idea as to what's going on? I re-created the Proj Type drop down twice and am getting the same behavior.
thanks,
rp.
Hi Robert,
Try using the simple Dropdown UI element in the Library of the Adobe designer. This might work.Hope u are populating the dropdown dynamically using the ISimpleTypeModifiable API.

Poojith,
I'm actually following an example from an SDN blog which tells me to create a value set table (consisting of TEXT & VALUE), then bind that to my Node's attributes.
the blog is found here - /people/dezso.pap/blog/2007/07/12/using-ddlb-in-interactive-forms-in-webdynpro-for-abap
DATA: value_set type table of WDR_CONTEXT_ATTR_VALUE.
* navigate from <CONTEXT> to <ideasheet_data> via lead selection
lo_nd_ideasheet_data = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_ideasheet_data ).
* get node info
node_info = lo_nd_IDEASHEET_DATA->GET_NODE_INFO( ).
.
.
.
* Fill table VALUE_SET with TEXT and VALUE entries using a select statement
.
.
* Set Value_sets to node_info
NODE_INFO->SET_ATTRIBUTE_VALUE_SET(
NAME = 'PROJ_TYPE'
VALUE_SET = value_set ).
However, I just found the issue. On this particular dropdown, I only needed TEXT, not VALUE, so I was passing a SPACE to value in my value_set table.
So, when I clicked on an entry it WAS bringing back the appropriate entry - a space!!!! ah.. simple mistakes are the worst.
solved issue - see my last post for resolution
